Dear colleagues,

We're sorry to have to inform you that Bishop Christopher was admitted to A&E last night after the taxi in which he was a passenger made an emergency stop. He is due to have some surgery today and will then need a period of convalescence.

Emma Kimsey and Alun Ford will be working over the coming days to manage Bishop Christopher's existing diary commitments. In the short term, all of his planned visits and meetings will need to be cancelled - or attendance arranged with another member of the Bishop's Senior Staff. Please be patient as these issues are worked through - and be assured that the team will be in touch with you if there is a visit or event planned with your parish.  

Tomorrow's Clergy Study Day will go ahead as planned - and we look forward to seeing many of you there. 

If you have an urgent concern in relation to this matter, please either email Emma or be in touch with your Archdeacon. In the meanitme, we ask that you keep Bishop Christopher and his family in your prayers - messages of support and care may be sent to him via the office at Bishop's House.
